Right now, mine is the Book of Maps by benebell. The one that goes with her newest deck skt revelations. Its 722 pages and with the new glasses i can see it well enough to read. But i am also hooked on my sudoku app on my phone. ugh.

what book is it? my eyes are irritated today but i still don't see what book you mentioned. lol oh never mind, you where answering the post above. lol

It sounds like the author had done a lot of research for that book. :thumbup: Has it helped with your readings?

If I had to pare it down to one, I'd go with [i]Mystical Origins of the Tarot[/i] by Paul Huson.

Even tho I like my thoth deck, I just can't get into crowely at all, i guess cuz he did too many creepy things in his real life.

Possibly but he was very good at spotting correspondences.

Personnally, Crowely was a bit too creepy and whacky for me.

If the thoth books are a bit overwhelming, try duquettes book. That is the one i have and its easier to read.

I got totally confused by contradictory Tarot books and don’t have the background in literature, poetry, the classics and the occult to make sense of Crowley’s references so am sticking to just the one now - [i]The Ultimate Guide to the Thoth Tarot[/i] by Johannes Fiebig and Evelin Bürger. It’s been translated from German with sometimes puzzling results and the interpretations are often unusual but the way in which they ignore the subtitles completely and analyse the visual symbols resonates with me. I like to study pictures and spot correspondences a lot more than learn someone else’s complex philosophy in order to see the world through their eyes. Now I’ve committed to and am becoming more familiar with it, the readings are getting better, like I’m more attuned to it and able to magic out the card for which the book holds the most appropriate meanings. :icon_idea:
