Re: I can't believe how long it's been!

Did you look under the bed? I was missing my cell phone the last couple of days and eventually found it under the bed just last night - even though I had looked for it there before! Twice! Don't laugh! Luckily, I do have a second phone through the State, and when I can't find my main cell phone, I ...

Re: Any bread-divas?

Unless you do a lot of baking and buy yeast by the bag or jar and use it up quickly, I have found that buying the usual '3-packs' of yeast in most stores is not always great stuff, and when you use 2 of the packs and leave the 3rd in your fridge - it's usually dead when you go to use it. I only buy ...

Re: Any bread-divas?

BTW ~ anyone who has never heard of buying pizza dough ready-made at the supermarket: just ask a manager or employee! Some stores have it in different places - but it's always in a cooler. Could be in the bakery department, near the deli, and if the supermarket has a food court that makes fresh pizz...

Re: The Game Crafter, thoughts?

O.K. - found it - The image on the left is the card as I designed it; the image on the right is a scan of the printed deck. Definitely a yellow saturation!

Re: The Game Crafter, thoughts?

I used The Game Crafter for all my decks because it was easy to use and get a deck up and running (once I learned the tricks to getting the images loaded). I think their card stock is fine, but some of my images seem to have a yellowish cast to them, which I take as their printing inks cannot reprod...

Re: Fee a faerie Wedding gown!

Tarotbear, thank you for the cosplay patterns link. I costume, and several of these patterns look like something I can use in the future. You are welcome! These are expensive patterns, for anyone that buys McCalls patterns on sale for $2 at JoAnn's! LOL! As a fellow costumer once said to me: "...

Re: The Ideas for making our tarot deck

Pixels is for people who are using GIMP, Paint, Photoshop, or other computer-generated artwork platforms. You can scan your artwork in and someone with a Photoshop-like art program can resize it if necessary. I used MS Paint :icon_eek: to create my card images - sort of like trying to paint the ceil...

Re: The Ideas for making our tarot deck

Just a suggestion - having designed 5 decks of my own - skip inches and do the artwork in pixels - for example 900 x 1500 pixels. This will mean less resizing or distorting the images for people who sized their work in inches and may have been off 1/8 inch. Yes, png is the best way to go.

Re: Favorite New Age shop closing

Rents are usually the reason most stores close within 2 years. It costs a lot to start-up a business, build a shopper base, and make people aware you have a business to start with. Unfortunately, EVERY SINGLE Newage store I visit has the exact same displays of crystals and stones, and usually the sa...
