Deck of the Week #11: March 12 - 18

There are some decks that we all know and love. And then there are the lesser known treasures. Deck of the Week is a really fantastic way to explore decks that are loved but under-used. Here you can see what decks other people are using and how they apply the cards to everyday situations.

Deck of the Week #11: March 12 - 18

Post by Nemia »

Pick a deck to accompany you through your week. Tarot, Lenormand, Oracles, any tool of divination is welcome. Let us know in the comments which deck you chose, and I'll add you to the list in this first post.

Before we start, tell us more about your deck and your expectations.

On Monday, we start drawing a card each day. Draw your daily card at the time you choose, morning or evening. If you don't have the time to read every day, just jump in when you can.

Sharing pictures is great but not required.

How do the energies of your daily card manifest in your life?

If you want to, you can experiment with the well-known routine and use two decks instead of one. Inspired by Barleywine's Situational Blueprint!

You may pull together all the cards of the week for one "how was my week?" reading before moving on to the next deck.

Do whatever you need to get the maximum power out of your daily reading, and feel free to share!

Participants:
Nemia - Star Tarot
Seldes Katne - Witch's Tarot
CharlotteK - Deirdre of the Sorrows
ISunshine - Wise Women's Tarot by Flash Silvermoon
Charlie Brown - TdM and Path of the Soul Fractal Art Oracle

I haven't worked with my Witch's Tarot lately. Time to reconnect.

I'm spending time with Deirdre of the Sorrows this week.

Thoth wont be far away and I'm keeping a TdM out too. I figure I might get better with both if I just keep looking at them every day and hope something sinks in.

I want to join <3 !!
I will use the Wise Women's Tarot by Flash Silvermoon.
I will do a daily draw in the morning (if I am that disciplined) and see how it relates to the day, reporting at night. Do I put all that right here on this thread??

And here we are, the eleventh week of 2018 has begun!

The Knight of Cups. Isn't this card beautiful? Look at all this blue. We have the element of Water and the pursuit of what you believe in, the dynamic character of the knight.

How is that connected to me today? We'll see. (Deleted most of what I wrote because it was too personal ;-) )

So... What I'm doing this week is 5-card message sentences with the TDM. There's no question beyond "what's the message today?" The idea is to create a quick simple piece of general advice. Additionally, I'm pulling a Path of the Soul fractal art oracle card in order to see if there are any correspondences with the day's message.

An abundance of information can lead to myopic thinking. Know your feelings as well in order to distinguish yourself.

In the oracle card, you can see the outline of a person. Head and Heart are both active and glowing.

These bits of wisdom aren't necessarily meant to be applicable to me in a day-to-day sense, but I see this message as being relevant to me. I see it as a gentle warning not to get overly focused on technique in my creative work.
