sharing images

Hello folks,
I can see that people can add photos to their posts, but I can't find the information on how to do that.
Please can someone direct me to the right instructions?

Directly under the window you are typing into when you make a post, to the left, you will see "Add Image to post".
Click that and then you can upload a pic.
It will appear as html text until you click "preview" or "submit"

Does this site save the image, or are they in a third-party site like Imager, or something?

The image saves to Postimage.org servers.
