I changed your password and sent you a PM. Also sent it to your email.
I had to add a symbol on the end because that is a requirement.

Hope it works. Please let me know.

Did not work at first, but then tonight I was here under the old password to start with and when I came back it wanted the login. I tried everything old and changed then with the added symbol when I saw that in the email. Did not work with that either. Not until I did a full PC reboot.

Thanks for doing it!

Will see how this one goes. At least it is easier to remember, so that is actually good.

Right on schedule - 10 days.

I think I finally just now found the culprit setting.

Image

It WAS set to 10 days. Setting it to 0 disables the expiring of "remember me".

I really think this was causing it.

I apologise that it took so long to find it. It's so obvious. Now.

11 days from now, when it doesn't happen again, I hope you mind if I delete this thread, because I just cringe every time I see it. I think "Oh no!!"

Fingers crossed!

Am I the only one that is set to sign in at 10 days.

Yes, at 11 days you can delete this thread, so that is around:

DECEMBER 15th, 2017, at about 3:00 am (Australian Time).

December 15th wherever you are if it makes it any easier of course as it probably is the same date in other places right now.

I'm pretty sure it was 10 days from when a person last signed in and selected " remember me" so its probably slightly different for everybody.

In any case I feel fairly certain the issue has been corrected finally but we'll know for sure soon.

That sounds right to me. I need to log back in every 10 days or so. I've never lost any content, though.

Oooopppsssss.....just did it again and today is December the 14th, 2017.

I was on it on my phone about 2 hours ago just checking to see if any new threads or updates.

On my PC just now it went straight back to SIGN IN and PASSWORD once I clicked on CARTOMANCY.

BTW: It would not accept my new password the first attempt, so I went into my email to make sure it was right and it was. Second time it did work. Could have been me just typing quickly.

It is not REMEMBERING AT ALL though as I should not have to keep putting in a password. On my phone it is automatically remembered, but not on PC even though it is checked each time.

So, does that make it less than 10 days or exactly 10 days?

I think exactly 10 days as the 15th was giving it one extra day.

As for other sites - still no issues like this one for signing in.

Okay, here is what I think.

I think that 10 days ago I found the problem and corrected it. The problem was that the board was set to forget the "remember me" exactly every 10 days.

The last time you had to login was just before I made this correction, so you were still on the "reset every 10 days program".

Now that you have logged in under the new setting, which is "Never log out when someone has selected remember me" you should be good.

Does that make sense the way I explained it? Can I ask for 10 more days of patience, because I am pretty certain the problem is fixed, it was just a question of logging in after the system was reset.

In addition to my comment above, I think possibly it is your browser that needs to be told to remember your password in the event you become logged out. When I put in a password for anything, my browser asks me if I would like it (the browser) to remember it. When I choose yes, like for this site, it does. But like for my bank for example, I choose no, so I always have to enter that password every time I go to my bank website.
