It shows some of the problems with our modern democratic societies. People are ignorant, confused and bombarded with conflicting propaganda, the votes end up nearly random at 50/50 then the losers are wound up to never accept the outcome. It goes on in the UK too with leaving Europe and Scottish independence.

I have a cold and my nose keeps running. I haven't had a cold in years. I don't like this.

I find this entire politics-free forum an oasis on the internet. I come here to get away from all that.
