1000 years into the future this time, to see what's been proven true, what's been proven wrong, what we're worrying about now that they don't even remember.

Lol, I did 100 years this time, thought it might be nice to see what my grandchildren (if I have any) got up to.

What happens if you travel 1000 years into the future and learn that the earth had been destroyed in the meantime? :icon_e_surprised:
There are three ways of looking at things; theirs, yours, and my Tarot cards.

100 years into the past is interesting but what's 100 years? We have movies, letters, books, photographs, diaries... my grandparents could tell me about the time before WWI and did when I asked them. (I just sorted family documents going back into the 16th century).

100 years is nice, 1000 years is better. I'd probably land in Ottonian Germany :-) and that would be nice since so little architecture from Ottonian times is left. It would be uncomfortable, too, but you said "travel", not "one-way-ticket and permanent residence", didn't you?

And I wouldn't want to travel into the future, by no means! Nevaaah.

While I'm as curious about the future as anyone, I'm not convinced that the human race will be around as we know it in even 100 years, let alone a thousand. It would be a dangerous jump to make.

Whereas 100 years into the past I could experience silent moves first-hand, and witness an exciting time in history that isn't so far back that I wouldn't be able to cope with the differences.
