Been away for a while.

Post by DDwarks »

Hi everyone,

So I've had to take a break from my online life due to my health.
My Lupus kicked my arse big time and I had to go into hospital.
I've seen more specialists than I ever have in this last month alone.
Still waiting to see a blood specialist.

It aint looking good for me I'm not gonna lie but I'm back online ....as much as my extreme tiredness allows!

Looking forward to see what I've missed :thumbup:

Ugh that sounds nasty. It's not something I know about but I see inflammation is mentioned so if you haven't already, it might be worth researching turmeric / curcumin as a reducer and the effects of sugar / carbohydrates as a promoter of it.

Thank you all. I really missed being on here!
@2Dogs:
Ive has no luck with curcumin. I took it for over a year with no benefits. I got the stuff with black pepper and ginger added to it.
The diet thing is a good point. Im already grain free and dairy free but only sugar restricted .. Sugar's my kryptonite:(
Im ready to let it go now though. I bought an interesting book Im going to follow to the letter for the next 6 months to try and put my Lupus in remission and keep the chemo at bay!

@DDwarks
Just a thought here, and I'm not sure how accurate it is, but when it comes to black pepper and ginger they are warming herbs/spices. Used on the skin they encourage blood flow which is great for sore muscles but not so great if you want to reduce inflammation, inflammation = more blood flow to an area.
Loving thoughts coming out to you!

Black pepper and ginger are both reputed to have anti-inflammatory properties.

I take the Solgar Curcumin 185 for arthritis. The Jury is out on how effective it really is as I've made other lifestyle changes too, but my pain is overall very much better than it was before I started taking it.

My sympathies are with you DDwarks as it sounds very debilitating illness and I hope you manage to get it under control. I will send you healing energies in my next meditation.
