A Walk in the Forest

Post by Joan Marie »

I live near a forest and every autumn I like to go there and take photos of the wild mushrooms. There are so many different ones, I am amazed every year at what crazy little aliens pop out of the earth. There is all sorts of esoteric lore surrounding these fungi so I really enjoy this time of year when the number and variety are so abundant. Over the years I have taken hundreds of photos of these creatures.

The other day the light was very good and I got some interesting shots. Here are a few of them.

They're nice photos :icon_cool: . I also like seeing all those varied shapes and colours, particularly those last purple ones which don't seem to stay out for very long.

those photos of fungi are lovely Joan Marie.
they are what you would visualise when reading a Celtic fairy tale of the little people wandering in the forest. :icon_razz:

Some great shots there! And a fanatasic variety of mushrooms.

Reminds me that I need to make time to head off to the seaside for the day and get some rejuvenation and grounding time in.
