Years and years ago, from this strange little book shoppe loved in the strip district in Pittsburgh, i got this little blue box of cards called sex spells or something. no book, just cards. This was way before tarot and oracles. I even got, I think, goddess wisdom there.

I still have both, but i keep forgetting to get that list blue velvet box out and check out the cards. I am going to have to do that.
Well SEX spells humm interesting😯

ROFLOL i never thought of that. that way. but now i can see how it sounds a bit like standing under the street light. LOL
omg. the tarot de porneau.

you know, i was joking with my friend about how there should be a “hillbilly orkel” and guess what? it already exists… there is a 79 card RWS deck called the hillbilly tarot, and dolly parton is the queen of jugs. :icon_rolleyes:

Wow, never heard of all that ;-)

Runes - fascinating but I didn't get around to them. I want to make my own - maybe I should simply use salt dough instead of waiting for the perfect set of crystals or wood...? I know that for me, runes have to be hand-made. Then why am i too lazy to make them?

A junk oracle - another DIY project. I like Carrie's Magpie Oracle but I guess it's more powerful if you make your own oracle from the jetsam and flotsam of your own life. A nice bag from dark fabric - filled with oracular junk. Doesn't that sound great?

I read Lon Milo DuQuette's book about oracles some time ago and loved it. Lots of great ideas! When I read it, I thought, "I'll try them all, those wonderful oracles", but then my life is so unexciting and I have no open questions, that I didn't get around to it.

yes wink wink nudge nudge and whistle pinch and toot! :icon_lol: the cat wasn’t riding the fox for nothing!

nemia— such fun links you provide!! the junk or charm casting oracles are curiously interesting. i would probably be anti-plastic too, but the set she had looked fun. a 36 piece 3D lenormand oracle would be easy to make... hmm.

RUNES.. my friend has small, already sanded smooth flat cedar rectangles in his clothes drawers and i think they would make fine runes. you could use a wood burning tool to draw the designs.

“predicting with popsicle sticks” ... there’s a thread for that somewhere, i’m sure.

toothpicks, especially the colored ones, are probably used for divination. if there’s an olive or two on one end, then that’s even better. :icon_cool:

my friend gifted me two i ching books tonight and i cast my first oracle using coins and it was SPOT ON. mind blown. it spoke directly of my situation at home with uncanny accuracy.

my friend mentioned a friend of his who uses i ching, runes, and tarot separately (to ask the same question) and they all come out with the same result...

anyway, i look forward to doing more i ching readings and studying the book of changes.

Hmmm... I had long suspected that Madam Tabshine's visions are probably just alcoholic delirium...
