The gilding has stayed on my "Gallery of Geography" books from 1889, somewhat dirty and distressed but it still shines :icon_cool: .

I also use a very traditional gilding process and lucky to have one of its kind Art Gilding Academy here in Australia.....

I've utilized 2 types of gilding process till today, one was used on Divine Art playing card deck using antique gold leaf & another (Bharata Playing Cards)which used holographic gold foil. If anyone here has got any of the above 2 decks & also a deck from Uusi, you would be able to judge better durability of gilt edge on the above 2 decks. Bharata Major Arcana Tarot will take this up a notch.
