They do sell accessories for walkers - like food trays and cup holders, and even big pockets for things like magazines, tablets, and cell phones. Do a search, also check tag sales and flea markets. Sometimes the maker of your specific walker has accessories custom designed to fit their model.

I prefer a rollator - a walker with a seat - but they take up more space when you have to fold them up to put them in your car. Luckily, I have an SUV with a hatch.

i wouldn't go attaching tooooo many things. it still needs to be folded for portability and whatnot, and you never know, some obsessed star wars fanatic might try snatching it from you :icon_rolleyes:

my FIL's old HS buddy is using one now and they were trying to think of ways to add a basket in front so he could put his coffee cup and other stuff in there while he walked around his home. they had attached a wire bicycle basket at first, outfitted with a cup holder, but soon realized that wasn't good because if he put a cup and a book or anything of weight it made the walker tip forward!

any added weight on the walker hampers mobility, i'm sure. best to keep it lightweight and easy to lift/move. thing ultra-light. altho i would be funny to see a walker outfitted with little white wings down near the front wheels, like hermes. :icon_e_wink:
Griz is gonna make me a fabric thingy with pockets, I’m deciding on fabric. I can sew, but she’s better at it than me. So I don’t also have to carry a purse. Of course, there has to be the ubiquitous tarot pocket, & a pocket inside for $$ (small) & those all-important cards. Yeah, the foldability is an issue. My grandson now wants one.

lol about your grandson... hot wheels? meet hot walkers! :icon_lol:

griz’s sewn pocket thingy sounds very cool. soft construction is the way to go — with velcro and other forms of attachment it can be easily secured, or removed for washing (and swapping out according to the seasons, haha.)... :icon_cool:
