If you ever meet a Lebanese Tarot looking for a warm home...

... it's a hopeless case, I know, but I'm totally in love with that deck and it's worth its weight in gold by now. Or more. :icon_eek:

I can't believe it - but I have ordered one of the last copies that Adam McLean has put up for sale! Now all I have to do is wait!

More power to you!

Telling from the few images I have seen, the Lebanese is exceptionally beautfiful indeed.

I understand it's based on Alchemy in some ways? The fact that Adam McLean offers it on his website certainly speaks to this...

I don't know, Nisaba's deck review doesn't mention it, and there's not much written about this deck anywhere else. I think it's based on Lebanese culture and folklore, and from the pictures I saw, I couldn't see any Alchemic symbolism.

Indeed, on the few card examples I have seen of it online, I couldn't find anything specifically alchemical either. @onion35@

When Adam published it the artist said:

“My goal of making the tarot deck is to pass on Lebanon tradition through well painted pictures with small details representing the Lebanese folklore as much as possible and to show our past treasures Baalbek, Beirut, Tyr, Cedars, etc My love of my country let me create this tarot to show all our generations that Lebanon is a land of beauty and freedom.”

He published all sorts of tarot with no alchemical features at all; he is also interested in tarot as such, simply for the art of it.

I like watching TV nature and history programmes about such countries; the landscapes can indeed be beautiful and the ancient structures interesting.
